Yi-Tan Call 244: Patterns of Monumental Change – (Summary Version)

In recent Yi-Tan calls we’ve talked about Thrivability and Medical Tourism. Let’s continue a conversation about health care, but let’s go way above how things get paid for and how forms are processed. Let’s talk about basic changes in very foundational issues.

Pip will lead off with 6-7 observations from the perspective of patterns of monumental change. Then we’ll move into a brainstorm, thinking through more foundational questions such as:

  • Why were so many people rooting for Tom Watson at the US Open in July?
  • What is the role of the medical professional? We’ve talked about medical travel. Will outsourcing medical professionals be next?
  • How does the “Faster World” impact the treatment we expect?
  • What are the impacts of the changing attitudes on aging in our society? Is 50 really the new 40?
